Commenting on This Project

Comments including anonymous comments will be accepted at any time. However anonymous objections and objections submitted after the close of the designated period will not provide objector standing for administrative review.

The Forest Service values public participation. Communications from the public regarding this project including commenter’s names and contact information will become part of the public record. The date of the legal notice of opportunity to object to this draft Decision is the exclusive means for calculating the objection period. For proposals to be documented with an Environmental Assessment the legal notice announcing the objection period appears in the Newspaper of Record the Casper Star-Tribune.

Objections must meet the minimum content requirements specified in 36 CFR 218.8(d) including: 1) objector’s name address and telephone number if available; 2) a signature or other verification of authorship upon request (a scanned signature may be filed with an email objection); 3) identification of the lead objector when multiple names are listed on an objection (verification of the identity of the lead objector shall be provided on request); 4) name of the proposed project name and title of the Responsible Official and name of the National Forest and Ranger District on which the proposal would be implemented; and 5) a description of those aspects of the proposed project addressed by the objection including specific issues related to the proposed project if applicable; how the objector believes the environmental analysis or draft decision specifically violates law regulation or policy; suggested remedies to resolve the objection; supporting reasons for the Reviewing Officer to consider; and a statement that demonstrates connection between prior specific written comments on the proposed project and the content of the objection. Incorporation of documents by reference is permitted only as provided in 36 CFR 218.8(b).
