Kite Lake Improvement Plan #61211

This project addresses increased recreation that is putting stress on resources and infrastructure at the Kite Lake site and Buckskin Gulch corridor. The plan may modify: the roadway, campground, parking lot, bathrooms, land ownership and mgmt.

The USDA Forest Service is seeking comments on the Kite Lake Improvement Plan project being proposed on the South Park Ranger District of the Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands. This recreation project will focus on managing issues related to high use at the Kite Lake site and along the County Road 8 (Buckskin Gulch) corridor, as well as plan for future increases in visitation and use.
