The Cumberland Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest (DBNF) is inviting you to comment on a proposed project.
What is the project?
The proposed action is a comprehensive management plan that encompasses open lands across the entire District. It identifies goals that span the next 20 years and outlines an adaptive strategy for management. The adaptive management approach is an important component of this project, allowing each opening to be managed according to the species present and what techniques prove successful in each location over time, as well as new species listings, emerging non-native invasive species, and other issues that might arise.

How to Comment, ask question, or get additional information:
Opportunity to comment on the scope of the Proposed Action ends 30 days after the mailing of this letter. While the district will accept comments throughout the planning process, comments submitted during the formal 30-day scoping period are most useful for identifying issues and alternative development. Comments submitted in the following formats will be accepted: written, facsimile, hand-delivered and electronic. Specific written comments are defined in 36 CFR 218.2 and 218.25(a)(3). Comments received in response to this solicitation, including names and addresses of those who comment, will be part of the public record for this proposed action. Comments submitted anonymously will be also accepted and considered. Those individuals and entities who submit timely and specific written comments during official comment periods are eligible to file objections during the objection period (36 CFR 218.25(a)(1)(i)).
