Midnight Restoration Project #63933

Landscape-scale wildfire risk reduction and terrestrial restoration project in Rader Creek, lower Wolf Creek, and upper Twisp River drainages. Excludes Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness.

The project is located on the Methow Valley Ranger District west/northwest of Twisp, Washington in portions of Township 33 North, Ranges 20, and 21 East, Township 34 North, Ranges 18, 19, 20, and 21 East; and Township 35 North, Range 20 East, Willamette Meridian.  The project area covers 53,009 acres.  Proposed activities include non-commercial and commercial thinning treatments; prescribed fire treatments; and closing, opening, and decommissioning roads. The project proposes amendments to the Forest Plan and Northwest Forest Plan. Treatments are proposed within Late-successional Reserves, Riparian Reserves, and an Inventoried Roadless Area.
