Wildbunch Allotment Management Plan (AMP) - 0103 #5636

AMP analysis for future livestock mgmt.

Edwin Holloway, District Ranger for the Clifton Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests has prepared an environmental assessment (EA), finding of no significant impact (FONSI), and draft decision notice (DDN) for the Wildbunch Allotment Management Plan (AMP). The project area is located in the Clifton Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests and would authorize grazing on the allotment under an adaptive management framework that includes authorization for an adjustable range of stocking numbers and structural range improvements based on the on-the-ground conditions. This project is expected to move the project area towards desired conditions by providing for more flexible range management and increasing vegetative ground cover through improved livestock distribution.

The EA, FONSI, and DDN are available for review on the forest website project page at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=5636. These documents are also available for review at the Clifford Ranger District Office located at: 397240 AZ 75, Duncan, AZ  85534.  Business hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday (excluding Federal holidays).  Additional information needed can be obtained from Orry Hatcher, Project Team Lead, 928-368-2108, ohatcher@fs.fed.us
