Tonto National Forest Plan Revision #51592

A collaborative effort to revise the Land and Resources Management Plan for the Tonto National Forest in Arizona

You have entered the public Reading Room for the Tonto National Forest Plan Revision Project.

The final forest plan, final environmental impact statement (FEIS), and draft record of decision (draft ROD) was re-released on July 8, 2022, which began the 60-day objection period. The objection period closed at midnight on September 6, 2022.

The legal notice of objections filed published on September 9, 2022 in the Arizona Capitol Times, the newspaper of record. The legal notice initiated a 10-day period during in which individuals or organizations who have provided substantive formal comment on the plan in the past and have a particular interest in the resolution of any objection may file a request to be an interested person, as described in 36 C.F.R. §219.57 and Forest Service Handbook (FSH) 1909.12, Section 51.65, which allows participation in meetings between the objectors and the Forest Service.
