Beaver Canyon Recreation Improvements #67156

The Beaver Ranger District is proposing to improve and expand parking lots along SR 153 in Beaver Canyon, grooming winter routes, increasing size class of some OHV trails, and improving SR 153 from Puffer Lake parking area to Timid Springs.

Dear Friend of the Fishlake National Forest:

The Beaver District of the Fishlake National Forest is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) for proposed actions to improve recreation access and safety within Beaver Canyon. We are seeking your comments on this proposal to understand public issues and concerns related to the proposed project.

Beaver Canyon Recreation Improvements Project

The proposed action includes expanding and upgrading existing parking lots, upgrading OHV trails, and grooming winter trails on Forest Service managed lands along State Road 153 within Beaver Canyon. Please see the attached Scoping and Notice of Proposed Action and Opportunity to Comment document for detailed project information.

Notification of Opportunity to Comment

This comment period provides those interested in or affected by this proposal an opportunity to make their concerns known prior to a decision being made by the Responsible Official. This project is subject to the objection procedures at 36 CFR 218, Subparts A & B, and while comments on this project will be accepted at any time, only those who provide timely comments during an official comment period will be eligible to submit a pre-decisional objection to the project.
