Dear Payette National Forest Staff,

I am proud to submit my comments in support of Midas Gold Idaho's Stibnite Gold Project. This project presents our state with an incredible opportunity to bring well-paying jobs to rural Idaho, boost Idaho’s economy and use private investment to clean up a brownfield site.

Mining provides jobs and opportunities that are important for our local economy. I am grateful to know Midas is committed to hiring locally and purchasing materials locally as much as possible. The Stibnite project will generate hundreds of job opportunities in construction and operations. This type of project will undoubtedly boost our local economy. Mining is an important contributor to a strong economy in Idaho and I know the Midas project will be no different. I support the Alternative 2 proposal because it is the safest way to bring these opportunities to life.

I urge you to accept Midas Gold's plan as outlined under alternative two. The U.S. Forest Service has provided the public with helpful virtual tools and materials to submit meaningful comments on the project within the allotted timeframe. It is time to move this project forward.
