I own and live on land adjacent to the Santa Fe National Forest west of Las Vegas, NM.
I strongly urge the Forest Service to implement the ‘NO HERBICIDE’ option regarding the proposed Noxious Weed project.
With all of the toxins already in our air and water, we cannot afford to add more by using herbicides in instances where the ‘noxious weeds’ are not a direct threat to the health of our national forests,
particularly when other methods of control are available, as is the case in the present situation.
I understand that invasive exotics are not desirable in our forests, but the current situation does not warrant the use of herbicides.
