My name is Archie Kibbe, I live in Cold Creek NV. I had attended the recent meeting held at the Cold Creek fire house. I did not comment during the meeting because it appeared to be a planned verbal attack on the BLM/ Forestry departments. But what I did get out of it was if I don't comment by 7/15/2013 I'll have no say, so here is my comment; I Archie Kibbe do agree that the horses have over grown their environment mostly due to people feeding them causing them to believe there is more of a support system than there really is. And like what the one gentleman said and I see this happening right on the road at least 3-4 time a week on my way home from work, in the past I have stopped and tried to explain to people that they are endangering the traffic and also the horses (by danger of car accident and overpopulation) but to no avail. When that didn't work I've even stopped while they were feeding and tried to call and report it, which also did nothing (probably due to lack of manpower) so the purpose of my comment to agree is the only answer I see left is to cull the herd in what ever way you have the resources to do so, for the health of the herd in general. I am in no way an expert in the matter but do understand and respect nature, so if and when you do this I would hope it could be done by removing the weakest animals, with the least amount of cruelty possible with the resources available. If there is something I can do please let me know, although my time and resources are limited. Thank you for your time and consideration. P.S. I'm sending this e-mail with my phone and not great with technology, if possible could you please respond that you've received it. So i can have my wife or daughter help me with it if I made a mistake. My e-mail address is daddydunedog@hotmail.com P.P.S. This has been looked over and spell-checked by my wife and daughter and is being sent from my daughter's e-mail account.
