Thank you for allowing me to comment on your current proposals for Forest Plan Revision. I have several concerns: I feel that the current plan is inadequate to protect the biological diversity of the Sky Islands. Also, the Plan doesn't realistically look at current problems on the Forest or how to fix those problems through management. Examples include Redington Pass and the east side of the Santa Rita Mountains. Please re-consider the Special Management Area proposals that have already been submitted. There are many special places on this Forest that deserve recognition and protection. In addidtion, I value the preservation of quiet recreation opportunities and opportunities to experience solitude. I support the drafted evaluation reports for 10 potential wilderness areas. Also, please adequately evaluate all of the acreage that is potential wilderness. Sky Island Alliance with partners created a series of Wilderness Suitability reports identifying 290,000 additional acres that should properly evaluated. Please consider these reports and additional acres in potential wilderness evaluations. Again, thank you for allowing me to submit my comments. Sincerely, Jake Brenneise 3300 N.
