The assessment phase of forest planning calls for a rapid evaluation of existing information about relevant ecological, economic, and social conditions, trends, and sustainability. Analyzing this information will provide insight into the relationship between land management plans and the context of the broader landscape. The Black Hills National Forest is requesting your review and comment on several DRAFT assessements. As you read through these documents, please consider providing
feedback: Are we on the right track with the
information highlighted? Did we capture
what’s going well and what’s not going well,
or are we missing any critical pieces? And
most importantly, do the potential needs for
change reflect the major issues that we
should concentrate on in plan revision?
