The Ouachita National Forest (Ouachita) proposes to conduct vegetation management treatments on National Forest lands within the Fourche Lafave River Valley on the Jessieville-Winona-Fourche Ranger District

The Authorizing Official / Forest Supervisor has approved the use of Fuels and Forest Health Emergency Situation Determination authority for the Fourche Valley project. As a result, the project is not subject to project-level pre-decisional administrative review (“objections”) or other procedures set forth in 36 CFR 218. Documentation supporting this determination is maintained in the project record available for review electronically and at the Jessieville Ranger District office in Jessieville, Arkansas.
