Thank you for your interest in the West Fork of Blacks Fork Road Realignment Project. The Forest Services values your input and welcomes your comments on the project.
The Forest Service is proposing a project to protect the West Fork of the Blacks Fork River from damage caused by the current road crossing. Currently, the West Fork Blacks Fork Road (FR063) crosses the river via a wet ford, which is causing erosion and sedimentation downstream. To fix this, the Forest Service proposes to realign the road so it no longer crosses the river and instead crosses an existing bridge downstream from the current crossing. After the road is realigned, the riverbed and surrounding vegetation where the current crossing is would be rehabilitated and restored.
