This project is being conducted under the authority of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Section 40807 (b)(1)(B)(1 and 2), Emergency Situation Determination (ESD) and authorized emergency actions.
The EAD authority allows for a stream-lined NEPA process when dealing with emergency situations pertaining to salvage of timber and public health and safety concerns. Projects that fall under this authority shall not be subject to objection under the pre-decisional administrative review processes under 36 CFR part 218 (IIJA Sec. 40807 (b)(1)(B)).
Comments received in response to this solicitation, including names and addresses of those who comment, will be considered part of the public record of this proposed action and will be available for public inspection. Comments submitted anonymously will also be accepted.
