The Los Padres National Forest is proposing the Los Padres Flood Damage Repair, Road Maintenance, and Aquatic Passage Improvement Project. We wish to inform you of the proposed action and invite your input on the scope of issues, opportunities, or concerns that we should consider.
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations allow Federal agencies to exclude a proposed action from further analysis and documentation in an environmental assessment (EA) or environmental impact statement (EIS) if there are no extraordinary circumstances related to the proposed action and if it is within established categories defined by 36 CFR 220.6. The proposed project falls within categories of actions statutorily established by Congress that do not require detailed analysis in an EA or EIS.
You are invited to participate in the planning process by providing comments and suggestions. Communications from the public regarding this project, including commenter names and contact information, will become part of the public record. Comments, including anonymous comments, will be accepted at any time. However, comments posted after June 17, 2024, may not be able to be given full consideration.
