E-bike Use on the Ozark-St. Francis and Ouachita National Forests Environmental Assessment #62170

Commenting on This Project

If you submitted comments regarding the Ouachita and Ozark-St. Francis National Forests (Forests) consideration of allowing electric bike (E-bike) use on two existing national forest system bike trails: the Womble Trail and the Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail System, you are eligible to object. The Forests have prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA), draft Decision Notice (DN) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for this project. These, along with supporting documentation, are available at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=62170. Hard copies are available upon request. A signed decision notice will be issued following resolution of any objections received during a 45-day objection period that will begin the day after legal notice is published. The objection period provides those that have previously submitted comments an opportunity to submit their objection prior to a decision by the Responsible Official. Please find more information on what to include in the legal notice or the cover letter from the Forest Supervisor. Thank you for your interest in the management of the National Forest.

*Please note the following correction: The legal notice was not posted in the Courier. Because this is a two Forest project the Newspaper of Record was previously set to be the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
