BC-10205 BAKER CITY WATERSHED FUELS MANAGEMENT PROJECT DRAFT DECISION NOTICE AND OBJECTION PERIOD USDA-Forest Service Wallowa-Whitman National Forest Whitman Ranger District The Whitman Ranger District has recently completed a revised Environmental Assessment, Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and draft Decision Notice for the Baker City Watershed Fuels Management Project, which is available on the web for review. The area being evaluated consists of approximately 22,787 acres of National Forest System lands on the Whitman Ranger District. The project area is approximately 4 air miles west of Baker City, Oregon and includes the Baker City Municipal Watershed. The revised Environmental Assessment, FONSI and draft Decision Notice are available at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=58480. Only individuals or organizations that submitted specific written comments during a designated opportunity for public participation (scoping or the 30-day public comment period) may object (36 CFR 218.5). Notices of objection must meet the requirements of 36 CFR 218.8(d); incorporation of documents by reference is permitted only as provided for at 36 CFR 218.8(b). Electronic objections must be submitted to: Wallowa-Whitman National Forest's project webpage at https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=58480. Select the "Comment/Object on Project" link in the "Get Connected" group at the right-hand side of the project webpage. Hardcopy objections must be submitted by: Mail or Hand Deliver to Shaun McKinney, Forest Supervisor, Attn. Objections: 1550 Dewey Ave, Baker City, OR 97814. Hand deliveries can occur between 9:00 AM and 4:00PM, Monday through Thursday except legal holidays. Objections must be electronically submitted, postmarked, or received by the Reviewing Officer, Forest Supervisor Shaun McKinney, within 45 days from the date of publication of this notice. The publication date is the exclusive means for calculating the time to file an objection.
