NFGT has prepared an EIS to analyze effects of identifying areas available for Federal oil and gas leasing and associated stipulations.
The Forest Service values public participation. Comment periods were held for this proposal in fall 2019 and in April 2026 and are now closed. Communications from the public regarding this project, including commenters' names and contact information, will become part of the public record.
