PUBLIC NOTICE USDA Forest Service Mark Twain National Forest Opportunity to Object to the draft decisionregardingthe Blooming Rose Project The Houston/Rolla/Cedar Creek Ranger District of the Mark Twain National Forest has prepared an environmental assessment and draft finding of no significant impact for the Blooming Rose project. The proposed project activity is subject to the pre-decisional objection processpursuant to36 CFR § 218 Subparts A and B. The environmental assessment and draft finding of no significant impact are available for review at the Houston Ranger District at 108 S. Sam Houston Blvd., Houston, MO 65483 or online through the project website at:https://www.fs.usda.gov/r09/marktwain/projects/291090Additionalinformationregardingthis project can be obtained from Lisa Linn, Forester, 417-967-4194, lisa.linn@usda.gov. The opportunity to object ends 45 days following the date of publication of the legal notice in the Houston Herald. The publication date of the legal notice in the newspaper of record is the exclusive means for calculating the time to file an objection, and that those wishing to object should not rely upon dates ortimeframeinformation provided by another source. Objections will be accepted only from those who have previouslysubmittedspecific written commentsregardingthe proposed project during designated opportunities for public comment (36 CFR § 218.5). Issues raised in objections must be based on previouslysubmittedtimelyand specific written commentsregardingthe proposed project unless based onnew informationarising afterdesignatedcomment opportunities (36 CFR § 218.8(c)).?Specific written comments must be postmarked by the Postal Service by 11:59 p.m. in the time zone of the receiving office on the 45th calendar day following publication of this legal notice in theHouston Herald, Houston, Missouri. The objection mustcontainthe minimum content requirements specified in§218.8(d) and incorporation of documents by reference ispermittedonly as provided in §218.8(b).It is the objector’s responsibility to ensuretimely?ling of a written objection with the reviewing officer. Allobjections, including names and addresses of those who comment, will become part of the public record for thisprojectand will be subject to reviewpursuant tothe Freedom of Information Act.?
