Bull Creek Vegetation Project #285602

Commenting on This Project

The Bull Creek Project is designed to reduce the prevalence of dwarf mistletoe and mountain pine beetle by establishing a mosaic of age and structural classes in the Bull Creek drainage.

The Forest Service values public participation. Communications from the public regarding this project, including commenters' names and contact information, will become part of the public record. Comments posted after the close of a designated comment period may not be able to be given full consideration.

This project, authorized by an Emergency Action Determination, and approved by the Forest Supervisor, is
not subject to the pre-decisional objection review process (36 CFR 218). However, we are providing notice
of this emergency action and an opportunity for public comment per 16 USC 6592c, Section 40807. It is
critical that you provide feedback on this project during this designated comment period if you have
information or concerns about this project. This notice also begins the 60-day review period for
regeneration timber harvest activities that would create 10 openings greater than 40 acres per the National
Forest Management Act (NFMA), planning regulation (36 CFR 219.11), and the 2009 Forest Plan
requirements.

This draft environmental assessment discloses the potential effects of both management activities and the
alternative of taking no action.
