The forest is developing site-specific projects across the forest and your input can help the Forest prioritize treatment areas.
The purpose of these projects will be to address the safety risk caused by hazard trees along National Forest System roads and trails in an efficient and economic manner; to restore portions of the landscape affected by the fires through implementing a variety of post-fire management activities; and to increase resilience of the landscape to further drought, fire, and other stressors exacerbated by climate change.
The expected level of environmental analysis for each project may range from Categorical Exclusions to Environmental Assessments, depending on the complexity of the analysis and the level of expected environmental effects.
