Opportunity to Object
As the Responsible Official, Forest Supervisor, Erick Walker has prepared a draft Decision Notice (DN) for the Basin Wide Trails Analysis Project, selecting Alternative 1 from the two action alternatives analyzed in the Final Environmental Assessment (EA). How to Object Issues raised in objections must be based on previously submitted, timely, specific written comments regarding the proposed project unless based on new information arising after the designated comment opportunities.
This draft decision is subject to the objection regulations at 36 CFR 218, Subparts A and B. Individuals or entities who have submitted timely, specific written comments about the proposed project during any designated opportunity for public comment are eligible to file an objection on the Project (36 CFR 218.5(a)). Objections to the decision must be submitted within 45 days following the publication of the legal notice in the Tahoe Daily Tribune. The date of the published legal notice is the exclusive means for calculating the time to file an objection. Those wishing to object should not rely upon dates or timeframes provided by any other source. It is the objector’s responsibility to ensure evidence of timely filing of a written objection with the reviewing officer (36 CFR 218.9).

Objections may be submitted online through this comment portal. Attachments in the electronic submissions must be in common formats (.doc, .pdf, .rtf, .txt).
